Zakir Hussain Rose Garden is a botanical park in Chandigarh City of India. The Rose garden is spread more than 30 acres of land that’s why it is Asia’s largest Rose garden with 50,000 rose bushes of 1600 variety. Named after former President, Zakir Hussain, the stunning garden was set up with the help of Late Dr M S Randhawa who was the first chief Commissioner of Chandigarh in 1967.
Zakir Hussain Rose Garden has number of bushes that is related to medicinal value and roses. Some of these medicinal trees are bahera, bel, camphor, gulmohar, yellow and harar. In the Garden, the plants of roses are managed in carve that’s why it look very attractive.
In the Month of March, every year celebrates a festival in the garden. In this cultural event, apart from roses, other things which are included like food, drink, photography and gardening contests.
The Rose garden is situated in Sector 16, Chandigarh. One can reach here easily by using bus, taxi, train and by air.
By Air: Chandigarh airport is connected with Delhi, Leh and Amritsar by Jet and Indian Airline.
By Road: Chandigarh city is connected all most all major cities but the main highways which connected with the city are National highway 21 and National Highway 22.
By Train: The trains are connected to the city from Delhi and Mumbai. The station is just 8 km away from the center of Chandigarh city.
