Jampui Hills is a highest hill range located in the North Tripura. It is a famous hill station of Tripura and placed at an altitude of 2995 feet above the sea level. The Jampui hill is approximately 190 km far from the capital city Agartala, Tripura. In the month of November, there is celebrated a Tourism festival in the Jampui hills, Every Year. Jampui Hills is also known as ‘The Abode of Spring’. The hills are dotted with Waterfalls that’s why driving along with Agartala - Sabrum road, is spectacular. Due to situated on the border of Tripura and Mizoram, there is various view point in Jampui Hill that provides an astonishing view of valley and beautiful villages of Mizoram.
The Department of Tourism, access by Tripura Government, has constructed an ‘Eden Tourist Lodge’ at the Vanghmun village in Jampui Hills with all best and modern amenities.
Orange Festival is celebrated in the month of November every year. Before early 60s, the people of Jampui hills didn’t know the economic value of Oranges. But in early 60s they started orange plantation for self consumption. Later on, when markets opened and know the economical value of Oranges. Now almost families of Jampui hills started plantation of oranges. Today, it is famous for Oranges in Indian Market.
Airway: The nearest airport is at Agartala which is connected with Kolkata and Guwahati Airport. It takes around 45 minutes from both airports.
Railway: Nearest railway station is at Kumarghat and from there you can reach by using Road Transport.
Roadway: Kailashahar is the district head quarter of North Tripura. The Kailashahar city is well connected with Agartala, Shillong and other Major city of Assam.
