Mehrangarh Fort

The fort is located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan and was built in 1459 by Rao Jodha when he transferred his capital from Mandore. Second gate of the fort is so important that shows marks of cannon balls from the past skirmishes are still prominent. The fort shows Jawhar (self-immolation) of princesses and queens.

Mehrangarh Fort

The forts have 68 feet wide and 117 feet overlook surrounding pain parts. Main feature of the fort, it has seven gates and victory gate is the most famous. The Gate was constructed by Maharaja Man Singh for big victory that was related to Jaipur and Bikaner. Other gates are related to victory and some other memorable moments. The fort shows fearlessness of the Rathore kings of Jodhpur.

The fort shows very beautiful use of sandstone, in the fort you can look very attractive spot as like Moti Mahal, Pearl Palace (Srinagar Chowki), Phool Mahal, Rang Mahal, Chandan Mahal and Umaid Villas that is showcases of Rajput paintings. Ajit Villas, Maan Villas shows musical instruments and royal attires. Currently the fort is so famous for Museum that shows palanquins, paintings, furniture and historical armory.

People believes best month for your lovely trip September to March because that time is totally free to heat, during the summer session temperature will always around 45 degree.
