Jantar Mantar attractive monument in ‘pink city’, that is archeological astronomical instrument built, broadly the meaning of the Jantar Mantar mean “instrument for measuring the harmony of the heavens”. In Pink City various visiting spots available but especially astronomical observation this is very beautiful spot. The spot give an innovative ways in direction of astrologist science.

Who was founder Jantar Mantar?

Jantar Manter was constructed in Jaipur by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh ll. The construction was complete between (1724 -1735). It is largest observation center in India and world’s biggest stone sundial that is called “Smart Yantra”. Today the spot is under that UNESCO World Heritage site. But in India four observatory centers also available, these are in (Mathura, Ujjain, Varanasi and New Delhi). But in Mathura spot is disappeared today.

History

Real founder of the ‘Pink city’ was Maharaja Jai Singh ll and he was a great scholar of astrology, philosophy, universal and Mathematical concepts. The emperor was so inspirited to Aryabhatta and he wanted to get deeply study about astrology, so he built five observation spot in North India on different parts. The Jaipur observatory worked around seventh years.

The spot is located near the City Palace and Hawa Maha on around 18,700 square meters, during the British period the observatory changed in actual shaped in 1902 but the original matter was replaced again in 2006. The site is also useable for teaching and calculating purpose. Now the site is part of our national monument.
