Jal Mahal

Jal Mahal mean “water Palace” located in Capital of Rajasthan (Jaipur) middle of the Man Sagar Lake. Main reason to made Man Sagar Lake in 1596, there was severe famine occurred in the region, when ruler of Ajmer give ordered to built a dam for overcome on the worst conditions. On first phase dam was built. The dam is around 300 meters long and 28.5 – 34.5 wide. The dam has great importance due to three side water gate and was used specially for irrigation purpose. The dam has looked various changes during long periods of time but final design was created by Maharaja Jai Singh ll of Amer.

Jal Mahal

Ancient time the land was used for natural dispositional. The beautiful palace was built in 1799. The gorgeous tourist spot was built by the Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh and also very attractive spot for the Rajput architecture. The water palace is very romantic spot in pink city built in red sandstone. The water palace is today also looked very new as like built recant year, this palace is located on Amber fort road outside the Jaipuir. The place is built five storeys and tourist can look to Nahargarh fort also.

Shrine is also available opposite the palace. In the palace various beautiful spots available as like gardens, dome, paintings, Rajput architecture style walls and beautiful water body. The dome has 20 carved pillars and shadow of water palace is looked very beautiful in the lake that is also unrespectable beauty of Jal Mahal. The lake is also very remarkable spot for eco system and migrated birds.

Jal Mahal is very excellence work in Rajput technical style. The real beauty of the spot can look at eve time and birds can be enjoying especially in summer session in lake. “Jal Mahal” shows real beauty of fort Rajasthan state.
