Wokha

Wokha is a beautiful land of Nagaland state and declared as "The Land of Plenty" by state govt. of Nagaland, because of its rich mineral resources, soil fertility and flora and fauna. The Wokha district boundary is connected with from north and west side to Assam and in south Kohima or Dimapur and Zunheboto or Mokokchung from East and North East.

Wokha

Wokha literally means “Head Count” or “Census”, by Lodhas WO means ‘Number of People’ and KHA Means ‘Counting’. The state is located in total Geography area of 1630sq km. Approximately 80 percent population of Wokha district occupation is Agriculture. Major crops of district are Rice, maize, peas and yam etc. Major crops of vegetables are brinjal, chilly, pumpkin, ginger, bitter gourd and Tomato. Name of Rivers which are flowing within the district such as Doyang, Chubi, Nzhu.

Tourism

Wokha is a land of beauty, mountain range, and River. It is also famous for vibrant dance and folk songs. The Doyang is the largest River and on the River Hydro Electricity Station is situated with a capacity of 75 Mega Watt.
