Chapora Beach is a coastal village situated at Chapora River in north Goa. The beach is on around 10 km away from Mapusa (a city of northern Goa). It is near to Chapora Fort and a trawler jetty. The Chapora fort is a chief landmark built by Portugues. It is also known as a perfect fishing spot.
The Chapora beach has a picturesque location with beautiful soft white sands, black lava rocks and lots of coconut palms. The beach is very clean and tidy with its own charm and is also well famous beach in Goa.
Swimming: Swimming on the beach is not considered as safe due to sometime heavy undercurrent.
Fishing: A fishing Jetty is available near the beach where fishing trawlers can duck. It is a famous fishing spot.
Sunrise and Sunset: The Chapora beach provides a wonderful view of sunset and sunrise.
Water Sports: On the Chapora beach many water activities are available such as jet skiing, para sailing, wind surfing and ringo riding.
Chapora Beach offers many restaurants and beach cafes that provide testy seafood and drink. You can get a comfortable room in guest house at cheap rate.
From Mapusa city, you can get taxi, motorbike on rent and Buses which is available on regular interval. The Beach is about 10 km away from the nearest city Mapusa and about 25 km away from Capital Punjim (Panaji).
By Air: Dabolim is the nearest airport, which is about 30 km away from Panaji.
By Rail: Kalmali is the nearest railway station, which is just 10 km away from Panaji.
