Pasighat

Pasighat is presently headquarter of east Siang distract that is located in Arunachal Pradesh and oldest town of state established in 1911. The town has a great importance during the British rule because it was main concentration point especially for trade and commerce. The name ‘Pasis’ was given on the basic of tribe community. Pasighat is called “Gateway of The State of Arunachal Pradesh”. In North East India the spot is very wonderful for natural lover. Main attraction of the spot is scenic beauty and adventure sports. The town situated on 155 meter heights and its population is around 78,000 people.

The Birds: Various birds’ varsities are available that is related but special qualities of birds are related to aquatic as like bear’s pochard, Indian skimmer, spot billed pelican, lesser adjutant and much more but the spot is also very concentrative for migratory birds. Main concentrative spot is Daying Ering Memorial Wildlife Sanctuary for birds.

Reptiles: the Siang River is main source of water in the region that is also known as potential source for fish development. In the river more than 100 of species found that’s water monitor lizards, Gangetic dolphin and much more.

The Fauna: the forested island is home of wild buffalo, elephants, leopard, civet cat, samber, barking deer, jackal and various rain foresters’ species. The land is so attractive for animals those want to live in savanna type grasslands.

The Pasighat has great source for adventure as Like River rafting, tracking, fishing and Angling. But wildlife tour, bird watching have great attraction on the region.

Best Time for Visit

November to April is very nice-looking spot for visit.
