Charminar is monument and mosque located in Hydrabad, Telangana state, India. The spot constructed in 1591 AD and situated on the bank of Musi River. The Charminar is surrounding Laad Bazaar, Makkah Masjid.
Meaning of the monument is on very broad level “Char” word is related to Urdu language its mean Minar or meenar if you want to know proper word of the mean is “Four Tower”. According to Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), various theories are related to Charminar what was purpose regarding Charminar constructed. On broad level people accept only one theory that the monument was constructed by “Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah” when plague was spread in the city Mosque was built for affected persons where everyone can prayed for "Get Well Soon".
The Charminar is in square shape and each pillars height is 20 meters and around 66 feet and each corner stands an exquisitely shaped minaret 56 meters. Around 149 winding steps if you want to reach upper floor. The beautiful spot is made of Granite, Limestone, Mortar and various other materials and its weight is around 14000 tones.
