Lord Shri Krishna is the most favorite deity in Northern and Central India. Janmashtami is birthday of Lord Krishna that is celebrated on the July or August month. According to Hindu calendar it celebrates on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksh, Bhadon Month. On around 930 million people all around the world celebrated the birthday of Shri Krishna. Indian scholars say that period between 3200 and 3100 BC Lord Krishna lived on the Earth in Mathura which place is at Utter Pradesh in India country. Krishna’s love in universal and embodiment of divine joy and love.

Krishna was the son of Devaki and Vasudeva. Mathura was the capital of Yadavas to which Krishna Parents belonged. King Kansa was the brother of Deviki’s. He was son of king Ugraseana. He had ascended the throne by imprisoning his father after that prophecy that predicted his death at the hand of Devaki’s eighth son. Kansa had the Devaki’s and Vashudeva locked in prison cell after seventh children Lord Krishna get birth on the earth and he was the cause death of Kansa.

Janmashtami celebration spot is especially in temple people worshiped at midnight throw Kirtan, singing the Lord’s name along with other devotees. Special foods are prepared in the families as like Doodhachi Kheer, Gopal Kala and Gulab Jamon. The main celebration often includes the Raslila, which shows childhood of Lord Krishna.

The festival is very popular in the Bangladesh, Pakistan, Fiji and Nepal.
